Using Mission Expert

What makes “Mission Expert” so valuable in my practice is its utility. First, it allows me to address individuals as well as organizations with an all inclusive program that takes the client from start to finish. As you may know the financial services industry is going through a critical time. Advisors and providers alike are trying to figure out how to differentiate what they do from their competition (that is ever increasing), who they best serve, and what they want from their enterprise.

In many cases this requires a complete organizational overhaul a traumatizing event to say the least. To do the job right we must start at the beginning and that’s where mission expert comes into play; getting to core values (either individual or organizational), then defining values, goals, the vision and ultimately a roadmap to get there; the Mission Statement. This is the critical first step in a developing a competent strategic plan and the reason I believe its neglect is why so many businesses fail.

The program is consistent, well documented and sequenced. If it’s been a while since my last consult I can refresh myself with the built in tutorials. I have found the breakout pieces and agendas included in the resources section of the enterprise edition invaluable. It is a resource compendium, operations/training manual and facilitation tool all rolled into one.

Second, what we are finding in financial services is that vision and mission development is the critical process that has been missing in the planning continuum. As a result we are now seeing tremendous advisor interest in making this an integral part of their engagement and planning process. The reasons are many but to name two; the entire exercise deepens the relationship between advisor and client and it affords a more thoughtful and meaningful plan facilitation that follows the discovery process. It is the missing link between the initial interview (guided discovery) and formulating the family financial philosophy necessary before the plan blueprinting can begin.

With “Mission Expert” you have a thoughtful and well integrated tool to conduct this exercise. It is a tool that can facilitate a better legacy plan and that’s ultimately what our better clients want.
