- Electronic Data Systems (EDS): As VP of Manufacturing with global responsibility for aerospace, defense, rail and shipbuilding industries. Sales and service for 100 clients in 30 countries. In three years increased sales from $200M/year to an average of $850M/year, increased revenue from $235M/year to more than $400M/year. Prior to this built and led a successful multimillion dollar operations management consulting practice; earlier, led a successful multimillion dollar supply chain consulting practice with clients in both discrete and process manufacturing, hotels, telecommunications and service management. Prior to leading consulting practices, served as a management consultant on varied projects such as re-engineering accounts payable and procurement processes for National Car Rental, re-engineering construction planning for French oil giant Total Raffinage et Distribution, and developing centralized services for 16 semi-autonomous companies in the Middle East.
- Booz Allen & Hamilton. Sold and led consulting engagements to include restructuring an international aviation client, bringing the culture of a foreign Head of State’s Presidential Guard into the modern era, developing an “ Intelligent Building” strategy for a 50 story building in Southeast Asia, and developing the empirical basis for multi-billion dollar infrastructure investments by a U.S. resort operator. Served as interim CFO for a Middle Eastern client.
- RDR, Inc.: Principal researcher and author, on contract, of the U.S. Government’s Handbook of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Developed studies on foreign intelligence threat and foreign weapons capabilities.
- U.S. Army. Intelligence officer, conducting sensitive negotiations with foreigners in a variety of languages to manage and promote confidential relationships of benefit to the U.S. interest. Also during that period, spent four years leading a multi-billion dollar international industry-government program as well.
Education
B.A. in Spanish and Music from Frostburg State University in Maryland, graduate studies in German at the Städtische Universität München, as well as project-focused graduate studies in statistics and physics. Studied French, Portuguese, Italian and Arabic on my own and have conducted business in all four languages as well as Spanish and German.
